One of our main-goals is to give honest information to potential owners and we will have a close look also on the troubles that may occur with such special dogs - from inherited diseases to behavioral problems - and we also want to give hints to solutions on that matters.Over time we will even try to enhance the amount of information presented, for example we want to go more in detail about the inherited diseases found in this breed.As long as only the start-page is available, please use the link to our SWH-Nord blog!We will inform you as soon as the website is finally launched!
Welcome to the blog of the Saarlooswolfhond Kennel Howling Northwind!This blog will be an addition and/or surrogate to our website that is still under construction.
Furthermore this blog will be more "up to date", informing you about all recent news concerning our kennel or wolfdogs at all.It will be written in english to make all important information available to every individual who is interested in our work and our dogs.We are living in the area of Tidaholm, a small town situated in the swedish county of Västra Götaland.
We occupy a small, typical swedish red and white house with a big yard of two hectare, surrounded by beautiful forests and near the famous Hökensås nature reservation.At the moment we live together with 2 female Saarloos Wolfdogs :
Skadi - 4 years old and grey and Isa - 3 years old and cream-white.The kennel Howling Northwind was accepted by the SKK (Swedish Kennel Club) in June 2008 and we plan our first litter for spring 2009.
For those of you who may wonder how this blog will continue - I can tell you that the daily entry won't go on like in the last two months. The puppy book of our Alfa-litter can be closed soon and new tasks and adventures are waiting for our pack. However you will get some more informations and pictures (hopefully - if the new owners provide us with them;) in the next days, like summaries about every puppy and the answer to the question: "How are the pups doing in their new homes?" In the future we will post regularly updates about the development of the pups and of course about the remaining pack up here in Sweden:
